What is Hyperhydrosis?

Hyperhidrosis is the medical name for excessive sweating. Sweating is the body’s internal air conditioning. Sweating also allows your pores to open up and releases any buildup inside of them. Individuals have between 2 to 5 million sweat glands. Men have fewer sweat glands than women, but men produce more sweat than women. When is sweating not normal? People with hyperhidrosis will sweat when the body doesn’t need cooling down. Many people with hyperhidrosis will sweat in their hands, feet, head or underarms.
