Ms. Priyanka Shah graduated from the University of California, Riverside in June 2010, earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. She then attended the Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Health Professions Certificate Program at San Francisco State University. Following that, Ms. Shah obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2016 at Touro University, located in Vallejo, California.
Before Ms. Shah obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, she was a family practice Medical Assistant in Tulare, California. There, she performed patient vitals, immunizations, vision and hearing exams, among a variety of other things. While attending school to become a Physician Assistant, Ms. Shah excelled in both the didactic and clinical portions of the program. Her clinical training included practicing family medicine, general surgery, dermatology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology. During her clinical training she earned Rotation Honors in Primary Care, Dermatology and Emergency Medicine. After graduation from PA school she practiced as a Family Medicine Physician Assistant in Visalia, CA.
Ms. Shah has always had a passion to pursue a career in Dermatology. She enjoyed her clinical training in Dermatology and working with patients with hair, skin and nail diseases which solidified her motivation to work in this field.
Ms. Shah is a member of two associations: the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She enjoys traveling, shopping, working out, and spending time with her friends and family. Some causes that are important to her are cancer, child hunger, poverty, health and education. Her personal motto is, “Live life to the fullest, never give up, and focus on the positive.”
