Robert Leposavic, MD, is a board-certified general dermatologist specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery. He currently sees patients at LUX Dermatology, located in Sparks and Las Vegas, Nevada, and with offices across California in Stockton, Manteca, Santa Barbara, Porterville, Hanford, and Visalia.
Dr. Leposavic earned his Bachelor of Science in chemistry, graduating summa cum laude from the University of California at Berkeley. He then attended the University of Nevada School of Medicine, where he obtained his medical degree. He then completed an internal medicine residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, and a dermatology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Before becoming a dermatologist, Dr. Leposavic was a Chemical Engineer at IBM in San Jose, California, for four years, where he developed thin-film magnetic heads and received four Outstanding Achievement awards.
He began practicing dermatology in 2000 in Topeka, Kansas, and has since been practicing in California and Nevada. Dr. Leposavic practiced dermatology for sixteen years at the Sansum Santa Barbara Medical Foundation Clinic in Santa Barbara, California. In 2005, he became a partner of Desert Dermatology in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In addition to practicing dermatology, Dr. Leposavic has given presentations and multiple lectures on a variety of topics, such as mast cells and Basophil, the molecular mechanisms of cell signaling and dermatology. He was also a Principal Investigator for the Enbrel EASE Study from 2004 to 2005.
Dr. Leposavic is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society, and Santa Barbara Medical Society.
